Greetings!
Welcome to the Endecott-Endicott Family Association, Inc. website.
On behalf of the members of the Association, I would like to say
that we are glad you are here, and hope you will take advantage of all the
research opportunities afforded here. The site went online in May of 2003
and, overtime, we hope to add much more to it. Your help and support would
be appreciated. We welcome your comments on our EFA,Inc. website.
I also
invite you to become a member of the Association. You may do so by going
to the Membership Information link to get information on HOW TO JOIN. We
also welcome your comments and suggestions on how we can make the EFA, Inc.
a better family Association.
You will find information on the long history of our Endecott-Endicott family
dating back to 1327 in England. You will read about our famous John Endecott
who was one of the founding fathers and 1st Governor of the Massachusetts
Bay Colony. There was Samuel Endicott who stormed the shores of Tripoli
with Stephen Decatur and had a destroyer of the U.S. navy named after him,
the USS Endicott. There was Thomas Endicott who lived a life that paralleled
that of Daniel Boone and had many similarities. There was Moses Endicott
who served so well during the war of American Independence and fought at
the Battle of Guilford Court House, which was depicted in the movie “The
Patriot”. There is the story of the Endicott Meeting House built in
1792 and is still holding church services after 211 years-the oldest house
of continuous service west of the Allegheny Mountains. It is all here for
you, and your Endecott-Endicott cousins here want you to know you and the
stories of your line.
You will also find information on how to join the
Endicott_Gen group at yahoogroups.com.
It is here, where many Endecott-Endicott cousins are currently sharing research
on our rich heritage. We will plan on seeing you there and your research
contributions. You just never know what Endiocott cousins you will run into
researching the same lines or what information that they may have to share
with you. So join us.
Please
visit the Endicott Research links. Many more research sites will be added
here over time.
Again, welcome to our family.
